REGENTS EXAM SCHEDULE
As Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk prepares to host local and Regents examinations for its students, the following document was prepared to help families prepare for what will be expected during examination days. Except for the Regents US History exam, all Regents Exams will be administered from June Wednesday, June 14 through Thursday, June 22. The history exam is scheduled for Thursday June 1, at 8 a.m. Most local and final exams - outside of Regents - are scheduled in class from Thursday, June 1 to Tuesday, June 13.

THE GREEN WALK @ A.W. BECKER ON JUNE 1
A.W. Becker Elementary School fifth graders are inviting the community to celebrate the grand re-opening of “The Green Walk” on Thursday, June 1, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will be a nature celebration featuring The Green Walk, the school’s nature trail which was recently cleared through the efforts of a local Eagle Scout and later adorned by trail signs made by the elementary school’s third graders. Planned entirely by the school’s fifth grade students, the day will mark the trail's grand re-opening. Students will celebrate the recent work finished on the trail with the surrounding community, introducing games, a craft, and refreshments wrapped within a nature theme. The celebration will congregate around the school’s gazebo starting at 10 a.m.
NATIONAL ART HONOR SOCIETY INDUCTION CEREMONY
The National Art Honor Society inducted 14 new members while recognizing nearly a dozen of its senior members in an induction ceremony hosted last week. Read the story and see pictures on our website.
TWO RCS SENIORS SELECTED INTO HVCC HONORS COLLEGE:
Two Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk High School seniors will continue their education in a highly selective, new program instituted by Hudson Valley Community College this fall. Holly Macera and Tyler Lischak were each selected to attend HVCC Honors College once they graduate from RCS in June. Read more in our online story.

This document was created to help ensure that questions and concerns from our community are addressed in the most efficient and effective manner possible. It outlines who you should contact first for information in a particular area, as well as the next step if your concern is not addressed. Staff contact information can be found on the second page.
Reminders
LAST DAYS OF SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS: It is that time of year when our RCS community is wondering about the schedule for the last days of school. We has used fewer emergency/snow closure days than we had planned for and, as such, Friday, May 26, 2023, will be a contingent recess day. The last day of classes varies among schools. More information about the last day of classes may be found here.
SPOTLIGHT NEWS: SENIOR FEATURE & ADVERTISEMENT:
The RCS Central School District, in partnership with Spotlight Newspapers, has worked to have the RCS Class of 2023 recognized in its June 21 issue of the publication. The publication will print a special issue that will include all of our graduating seniors’ photos to celebrate their achievements! As part of this partnership, Spotlight News will offer advertising space in the publication where parents may purchase space to celebrate their senior. There is no requirement or obligation for parents/caregivers to purchase an advertisement.
