The RCS Girls Swim Team rounded out their respective Fall II season on a record setting streak. In April, members of the girls team broke two school records. During their meet against Holy Names, RCS senior Megan Buzas broke the school record in the 100 yard backstroke and the team of Megan Buzas, Ginny Frazee, Clarissa Ball and Jayme Fink broke the RCS District record for the 200 yard freestyle relay.

In addition, at the recent Colonial Council Championships (May 1-2), which were held at Mohonasen High School, a number of student-athletes from the RCS Girls Swim Team represented the district in their respective matches. For the 2020-21 season, the team finished fourth overall at the Colonial Council Championship event.

Special recognition goes to the 200 yard medley relay team for placing third overall, which consisted of the following student-athletes: Megan Buzas, Makenna Deitz, Katherine Birch and Jayme Fink. In addition, the 200 freestyle relay team placed fourth overall, while breaking their own RCS District record which occurred in April. That team consisted of Megan Buzas, Virginia Frazee, Makenna Dietz and Clarissa Ball. The 400 freestyle relay team also placed fourth and was represented by Clarissa Ball, Virginia Frazee, Katherine Birch and Jaime Fink.

Special notes: Clarissa Ball finished second in the 200 yard freestyle and fourth in 500 yard freestyle race, respectively. RCS senior Megan Buzas finished third in the 200 yard individual medley and placed second in 100 yard backstroke. Katherine Birch finished sixth in the 50 yard freestyle and sixth in the 100 yard butterfly. Sienna Rinella finished fourth in diving and was followed by teammate Katori Ross finishing in fifth place. In addition, Makenna Dietz finished eighth in the 100 freestyle and sixth in the 100 yard breaststroke. To round out the competition, Jayme Fink also finished strong by placing third in the 500 yard freestyle and third in the 100 yard breaststroke.
