Two teams from the RCS District Fall 2 Sports Season will be participating in the Colonial Council championships this weekend. The RCS boys/girls cross country team will be competing on Friday, April 30 at Swift Park in Slingerlands, N.Y. In addition, the girls’ swim team is headed to the championships at Mohonasen High School in Rotterdam, N.Y. on Saturday, May 1.

“As a district, we look forward to having our teams compete in the Colonial Council championships, especially our seniors on both the cross country and swim teams,” said RCS Athletic Director Robert Dorrance. “We are fortunate to be able to provide these student-athletes with the ability to compete and represent our district in athletics.”

The following senior student-athletes from cross country and swimming will be competing for the final time this weekend during the Fall 2 season Colonial Council championships. They are listed below:

Boys Cross Country

Girls Swim Team

Megan Buzas, Senior
Ginny Frazee, Senior 

In addition to the Fall 2 Season teams heading to Colonial Council championships, the RCS District welcomed the start of the spring sports season this week.  

The following sports began on April 26:

Baseball - Varsity, JV
Softball - Varsity, JV
Boys Tennis - Varsity
Boys and Girls Track & Field, JV and Varsity

The following sports will begin on Monday. May 3.
