RCS received over 800 responses with more than 100 different names from our first rebranding survey that was completed earlier this spring. The Rebranding Advisory Committee has met and considered the next steps in this process. After examining the many possible names that were offered by our students, staff and public, the top 16 names are moving on to the next round of deliberation. These names, and/or themes, were the ones that were most frequently suggested during our initial survey. Respondents from the first survey made quite a few railroad and bee-related suggestions, so we tried to include all of them here.
We also asked people to describe the most important characteristics of our new mascot/name and this is what they said: strength, positivity, bravery, hard-working, connected to our community, dedicated, courageous, resilient, loyal, honorable, and fierce.
In the survey below, participants will choose their top three choices from among the most popular names/themes from survey #1. Please note: if you select the same name more than once in the survey below, that selection will only be counted one time.

The next step of our process will be to reduce the 16 names in this survey down to the top 3-5. A final survey will be circulated in the September of our next school year in order to discover the final winner! This survey will close Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
